You will need

Device Set-up

  • Connect the Player device to your Display using the supplied HDMI cable

  • Connect power to the Player device

  • Connect a USB mouse to the Player device to help with the set-up

  • Connect to your local network using a wired or Wi-Fi connection

  • Select the Settings app (cog icon) on the device

  • Choose Network and Internet from the menu

  • Set the Wi-Fi option to On

  • Choose the network from the Available Networks section and enter the password for the network to establish a connection

  • Select the Settings app (cog icon)

  • Choose Device Properties

  • Select Date & Time

  • Set Automatic Date & Time The device will set the correct date and time when an internet connection is established.

  • Plug in the ethernet cable/LAN cable into the port on the back of the device

Connect to the CMS

  • Open Xibo in the app drawer of the device

  • Login to the CMS and navigate to the Displays page

  • Select Use Code to show a 6 character activation code (keep this screen open)

  • From the Displays page in the CMS, select the Add Display button at the top of the grid

  • Enter the activation code as shown on the Player screen

  • Click to Save

Authorise the Display

  • From the CMS, navigate to the Displays page

  • Use the row menu for the newly registered entry and select Authorise

  • Click Yes to confirm

If you have purchased a licence separately, follow the steps to licence your Display.

Licence your Display

For customers not on a Xibo plan, a Licence code must be provided in order for the Display to start showing content:

  • Navigate to the Display Settings page from the main CMS menu

  • Select the row menu for the appropriate Display Profile and click Edit

  • Provide the Licence Code in the form field

  • Click to Save
