You will need

Monitor Preparation

  • Use the Settings button (cogwheel icon) on the remote control to access the General menu

  • Select Time & Date

  • Use Set Automatically or use the drop down to set the correct Time and Date

  • Click Time Zone and set the Continent, County/Territory and City

Install Player App

Follow the steps below to access SI Server or Server as appropriate for the webOS version running on the monitor.

  • Using the remote control, press Settings

  • Choose the option EZ Settings

  • Select SI Server Setting

  • Select SI Server Setting again on the next page

  • Using the remote control, press and hold Settings until a message is shown to notify your input has been received

  • Enter 8080 and press the OK button to open the Settings Menu

Remotely install the Player IPK into the SI Server/Server menu by entering the following:

  • Application Launch Mode - Local

  • Fully Qualified Domain Name - On

  • Enter the URL to the app package - https://xibosignage.com/api/downloads/4/latest

  • Application Type - IPK

  • Local Application Upgrade - REMOTE

Once installed, restart the monitor to show the Connect to CMS screen.

Connect to the CMS

  • Using the remote control, click the yellow button to open the action bar menu

  • From the Connect to CMS screen, select Use Code to show a 6 character activation code (keep this screen open)

  • Login to the CMS and click on Displays from the main CMS menu

  • Select the Add Display button at the top of the grid

  • Enter the activation code as shown on the Player screen

  • Click to Save

The Activate Player page will automatically close once successfully connected.

Authorise the Display

  • From the CMS, navigate to the Displays page

  • Use the row menu for the newly registered entry and select Authorise

  • Click Yes to confirm

If you are on a Xibo Plan, the Display is now ready to start showing content from the Xibo CMS

If you have purchased a licence separately, follow the steps to licence your Display.

Licence your Display

For customers not on a Xibo plan, a Licence code must be provided in order for the Display to start showing content:

  • Navigate to the Display Settings page from the main CMS menu

  • Select the row menu for the appropriate Display Profile and click Edit

  • Provide the Licence Code in the form field

  • Click to Save

The Display is now ready to start showing content from the Xibo CMS.
