You will need
Monitor Preparation
Use the Menu button on the remote control to access the System menu
Select Time
Go to NTP Settings to set automatically, or Clock Set to manually set
Timezone can be found in the NTP Settings menu
Set the DST settings to the correct daylight saving setting for the location
Dependent on the SSSP/Tizen OS version, perform the following addtional steps:
Select Custom App during the setup process when first switching on the Display
Press the Cog button on the remote and go to System
Locate the Play Via setting and set to Custom App
Install the Player App
Login to the Xibo CMS and navigate to Player Versions under the Displays section of the main CMS menu
Select the Add Version button
Click Add files and select the downloaded WGT Player file
Select Start Upload
Once the upload is complete, click Done to close
From Displays Settings in the CMS, use the row menu for the default Tizen profile to set the Player Version
Click Save to confirm
Click the Home button on the remote control for the Samsung display
Select URL Launcher Settings from the menu
If you see MagicInfo Player instead of the URL Launcher Settings, click the Menu button and go to the System Menu option. Choose Play Via and set this to URL Launcher, exit the menus.
Select the Install Web App option and enter the URL of the CMS. For example https://cms.example.org or http://example.org/cms
Click Done to confirm
The Player will open automatically once installed. Press the Cog button on your remote and select Xibo Player from the menu to open the Connect to your CMS page.
Connect to the CMS
From the Connect to CMS screen, select Use Code to show a 6 character activation code (keep this screen open)
Login to the CMS and navigate to the Displays page
Select the Add Display button at the top of the grid
Enter the activation code as shown on the Player screen
Click to Save
The Activate Player page will automatically close once successfully connected.
Licence your Display
For customers not on a Xibo plan, a Licence code must be provided in order for the Display to start showing content:
Navigate to the Display Settings page from the main CMS menu
Select the row menu for the appropriate Display Profile and click Edit
Provide the Licence Code in the form field
Click to Save
The Display is now ready to start showing content from the Xibo CMS.
