You will need

Register

  • Log in to your Xibo My Account dashboard

  • From the Hardware page, scroll down to the Remote Management device table located under the hardware purchases section

  • Click the Register Sony Bravia button

  • Using the form, enter a friendly Name for your player

  • Enter the ethernet MAC address, which can be found on the back of the device or by navigating to:

    • Settings

    • Networking and Internet

    • Network Status

Make sure your device is connected via ethernet and you supply the ethernet/wired MAC address using - instead of : as the separator, e.g. 00-00-00-00-00-00.

  • Select a Group to use for this device. If you have no groups or do not select a group to use, one will be created/assigned by default

  • Click Save

Your device is now registered and will show in the Remote Management table of your Xibo account.

Provision the device with Sony's cloud

  • Power the device on

If you powered the device on before registering you will need to do a factory reset following these steps:

Settings > System > About > Reset

The screen will reboot. You may see a list of languages to select, ignore this and wait for a 6 digit code to be shown.

  • From the Remote Management table, click View Details for your device

  • Enter the one time code as shown on your device

  • Click Submit

The status will change to Activated in the Remote Management table, once the provisioning process is complete.

The device will enter Pro Mode and automatically open the Player app to connect to the CMS.

Connect to the CMS

  • Login to the CMS and navigate to the Displays page

  • Select Use Code to show a 6 character activation code (keep this screen open)

  • From the Displays page in the CMS, select the Add Display button at the top of the grid

  • Enter the activation code as shown on the Player screen

  • Click to Save

The Activate Player page will automatically close once successfully connected.

Authorise the Display

  • From the CMS, navigate to the Displays page

  • Use the row menu for the newly registered entry and select Authorise

  • Click Yes to confirm

If you are on a Xibo Plan, the Display is now ready to start showing content from the Xibo CMS

If you have purchased a licence separately, follow the steps to licence your Display.

Licence your Display

For customers not on a Xibo plan, a Licence code must be provided in order for the Display to start showing content:

  • Navigate to the Display Settings page from the main CMS menu

  • Select the row menu for the appropriate Display Profile and click Edit

  • Provide the Licence Code in the form field

  • Click to Save

The Display is now ready to start showing content from the Xibo CMS.
